Clinical Informatics Specialist

Description

We are seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team. In collaboration with Nursing Admin and IT Management, this position is responsible for the coordination, planning, design, development, implementation, and support of clinical information systems in the organizations inpatient and outpatient settings. The position provides clinical and technical support to medical providers and their support staff on the use of information systems and applications that are used to provide patient care. The position assists with the design and development of clinical workflows, actively participates in change management processes, develops appropriate user training, and works collaboratively with functional subject matter experts to identify opportunities for work process improvement. The position assists with the proper documentation of patient care in information systems and clinical applications, and the continuous education and training of staff consistent within professional, regulatory, and legal standards of clinical practice. Supports medical and clinical staff in the advanced access of patient records and the effective use of the integrated Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software to assure patient safety, improve satisfaction and efficiency, and advance patient care.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Clinical Informatics, Nursing, Information Systems, or a related field (as evidenced by primary source of verification) is required.

LicensureCurrent Georgia RN License is required.

Experience: 5 years of progressively, professional, related work experience as a Registered Nurse supporting an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and clinical applications. Experience with IT Project Development and Project Management, Clinical

User Training, and Development of Training Materials in a hospital system setting. Experience with Cerner Millennium EMR is preferred.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of EMR software, interfaced clinical applications in a hospital system, and how they are used to document and provide patient care.
  • Possesses both technical and functional understanding of the tenets of clinical informatics and Information Technology.
  • Strong ability to work on and prioritize multiple, concurrent tasks and projects while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with medical staff, enterprise-wide management, peers, and outside vendors utilizing verbal, written, or electronic methods.
  • Knowledge of training methods in a hospital system setting; train at-the-elbow, train-the trainer. Ability to train and provide knowledge transfer.
  • Ability to partner with vendors to translate clinician requirements into specifications for new clinical information systems.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement in the absence of guidance and policies demonstrating excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with little supervision.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Clinch Memorial Family Practice

Description

Clinch Memorial Family Practice is currently seeking a highly motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Monday – Wednesday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

CMFP has a satellite clinic in Fargo and the LPN is required to work as scheduled in that office also.

Medical Front Office Assistant - Clinch Memorial Family Practice

Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Front Office Assistant for our growing family practice. The primary duties for this position will be to provides operational office support in the delivery of patient care in a physician office environment. Responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, processing medical records, scheduling out-patient procedures, check-in and check-out patients, insurance verification and obtaining referrals & authorizations from Primary Care Physician and/or insurance carrier.

  • Provides back up to all front office positions; check in, check out, and medical records.
  • Provides data and assistance to Practice Manager / Office Coordinator as required.
  • Sets up office for daily operation by turning on computers and retrieving voice mail messages.
  • Maintains correspondence, including progress notes and new patient packets.
  • Assesses new patient files waiting to be seen and appropriately handles old patient files.
  • Assembles/creates charts for new patients, ensuring policy of noting allergy warnings and two methods of identification are followed.
  • Verifies patient data and insurance to ensure it is updated for accurate billing, inputting updated information into system as required.
  • Constructs insurance copies for proper insurance verification with new patients as requested.
  • Enters deposit for daily reconciliation.
  • Assists patient via scheduling to obtain appointment as a first-time patient and handles reschedule and missed appointment list.
  • Fills patient cancellation slots efficiently in keeping schedules booked for the practitioners.
  • Assists in pulling scripts, results, charts for triage.

Requirements

  • Requirements: A minimum 3 years of experience working in a physician office handling the duties listed above is required for this position.

Nutritional Services Worker – FT & PRN Positions Available

Description

FT & PRN positions available - Under general supervision, assists in the preparation, setting up, serving and selling of food. Maintains food service facilities and equipment in a neat, clean, safe and sanitary condition. Performs other work as assigned and/or required. Operates a variety of food service equipment; may collect money and make change, must be able to work quickly and efficiently as well as understand and follow oral and written directions; must be able to maintain cooperative working relationships.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent, previous experience in hospital food preparation preferred. ServeSafe Certification required within 60 days after hire date.

Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Description

Full Time Days and Nights positions available - The Patient Care Technician provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of an LPN, registered nurse and/or physician. He/she also provides personal care, comfort and assists with safe, clean environment, maintains equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent, Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification preferred, current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification within 60 days of hire date, graduate of PCT course preferred.

Radiology Technician - PRN

Description

The Radiology Technologist’s primary responsibilities include performing patient x-rays and CT scans. Also, they will be responsible for taking inventory of radiologic supplies, ensuring that the radiologic equipment is in order, and adhering to established guidelines on hygiene and infection control. Radiology Technologist should also be able to monitor patients throughout the scanning procedure to identify and respond to any allergic reactions to the contrast agents. As a Radiology Technologist, you should keep abreast of the latest industry developments. The Radiology Technologist should always be able to effectively communicate with patients as well as demonstrate compassion and patience.

Requirements

  • Regulatory Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent, Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Current BCLS certification, One (1) year of experience preferred, Knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Registered Nurse (RN) - 7on-7off - Night Shift

Description

RN - Night Shift - Positions available - Provides direct and indirect patient care floating between the emergency and medical-surgical areas. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Requirements

• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current state Registered Nurse license, current BCLS certification.

RN – Case Manager

Description

Responsible for the coordination and implementation of case management strategies pursuant to the Case Management Plan. Plans and coordinates care of the patient from pre-hospitalization through discharge. Responsible for authorization of appropriate services for continued stay and through discharge. Effective decision making/problem-solving skills and demonstration of creativity in problem-solving. Demonstrated effective critical thinking skills and ability to anticipate patient discharge needs. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Regulatory Requirements: An Associates Degree or Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing Required, Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred, Current Georgia Registered Nurse Licensure, Minimum 3 years experience in hospital case management preferred; Experience in insurance certification for hospitalizations is preferred, Strong assessment, interview, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Security Guard

Description

Security Guard (Unarmed) 12 Hr. Shifts - Night Shift: We are looking for a Security Guard to join our team.  As a Security Guard, you will be expected to protect life and property of all persons on hospital premises and patrol hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism. The Security Guard is also expected to secure, unlock, and protect hospital buildings. Furthermore, the Security Guard should respond to security needs of hospital staff, patients, and visitors, among other duties.

Requirements

Regulatory Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent, One to three (1-3) years’ experience in the field of law enforcement and/or security management; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred, Successful completion of BCLS course within 60 days of employment

Staff RN – Infection Control/Employee Health

Description

The Infection Control/Employee Health Nurse develops, implements, and evaluates the hospital-wide Infection Control/ Employee Health Program. Assists with establishing the standard of practice in occupational health and safety for employees and their patients. Provides assessment and reassessment of occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Develops and coordinates employee health education and wellness programs for the Hospital. Participates in performance improvement activities. Serves as a resource to all hospital departments, medical staff and community as it relates to preventing disease transmission in all ages.
