Clinch Memorial Hospital CEO Angela Ammons talked about the process of turning a regional hospital around, and how she has benefited from working with local industry, and with Miller County Hospital and their CEO, Robin Rau. In particular, she discussed the role of the Georgia Rural Hospital Stabilization Grant, and the important impact of rural hospitals on their local economies and communities.

Clinch Memorial Hospital announces that it is inaugurating Clinch Memorial Family Practice, a new primary care practice in Homerville. The mission of this primary care practice is to provide high quality and convenient healthcare to Clinch County and surrounding areas. “We’re glad to be able to respond to patient and community demand with the new Clinch Memorial Family Practice”, said Hospital CEO Angela Ammons.

Clinch Memorial Hospital has entered into an agreement with Innovative Therapy Concepts (ITC) of Hawkinsville, GA, to help grow its Physical Therapy and Swing Bed services. Beginning December 1st, ITC will partner with Clinch Memorial Hospital’s Physical Therapy and Swing Bed Services. This partnership will result in increased staff, new capabilities and extended hours benefiting area physical therapy patients.
Clinch Memorial Hospital’s CEO, Angela Ammons, has been recognized as Hospital Leader of the Year by HomeTown Health. HomeTown Health, LLC is a network of Georgia rural hospitals, healthcare providers, and best practice business partners. HomeTown Health provides legislative representation and continuing education and training for healthcare providers. Angela Ammons, RN, BSN, is originally from Macon, GA and currently lives in Waycross, GA with her husband and together they have six children. She obtained her Associates Degree in Nursing from Coastal College of Georgia in Brunswick, and her BSN through Western Governors University.
Donors from all over the state of Georgia chose Clinch Memorial Hospital as their rural hospital of choice through this year’s Georgia HEART (Helping Enhance Access to Rural Treatment) tax credit program. A grand total of $538,275 in financial support has been pledged to Clinch Memorial Hospital through the Georgia HEART program for this year.
The Georgia Department of Community Health’s State Office of Rural Health recently announced that Clinch Memorial Hospital will receive a $750,000 Phase IV Rural Health Stabilization Grant from the Georgia Department of Community Health.
Clinch Memorial Hospital has just acquired new state of the art EMS diagnostic equipment that will help revolutionize care for cardiac emergency patients. The new Lifepak 15 Monitor/Defibrillator allows very accurate diagnostics in the field and helps transmit them in real time to emergency rooms and physicians. This saves time, which can mean saving lives when every minute counts. The new Lifepak 15 also uses the latest lithium ion battery technology for improved reliability and availability.
Clinch Memorial Hospital has entered into an agreement with Meridian Healthcare Group to develop and operate a pulmonary rehabilitation and diagnostic center in Homerville, Georgia. The rehabilitation center began operations in March 15, 2018.
